Your First Visit

For your first visit, it may be helpful to arrive 15 minutes early, during which time you will complete a patient history form.  This will provide us with valuable information regarding your general and oral health so we may better care for you.  Typically, your first visit will include an initial examination and full mouth series of x-rays.  This will allow the doctor to thoroughly evaluate your dental health and formulate a treatment plan tailored to your needs.  If your first visit is to treat an immediate dental problem, we will gladly provide you with a follow-up appointment for a comprehensive examination.

Appointments

We see patients on an appointment basis to ensure our undivided attention.  In consideration of our patient's valuable time, we appreciate their consideration of our schedule.  If you cannot keep a scheduled appointment, we request 24 hours notice so that we can make the time available for another patient.

Appointments may be scheduled during the following hours:

Monday                9:00am - 5:00pm

Financial Considerations

We request payment at the time each service is provided.  This allows us to hold down the cost of providing quality dental care.  We offer a variety of payment options including:

  • payment by cash
  • payment by check
  • payment by major credit card
  • automatic billing to your credit card
  • financing by Care Credit

If treatment of your dental condition requires multiple visits, the doctor will provide you with a written estimate of your treatment cost.  We will be happy to arrange a mutually satisfactory payment schedule.

A courtesy discount is extended to senior citizens.

Insurance

Dental insurance is intended to cover some, but not all of the cost of your dental care. Most plans include coinsurance provisions, a deductible, and certain other expenses, which must be paid by the patient at the time services are rendered. Reimbursement amounts are not, and never should be, a guideline for quality care. Our office does accept assignment of insurance benefits after verification. We accept traditional and some PPO plans, but no DMOs. Each patient accepts the responsibility for payment in full, for services rendered including those fees not covered by insurance. Patient co-payments are due at the time of service.

Out-of-Network does not mean we cannot be your dentist. We file out of network benefits for nearly all insurances and we will be happy to file claims for all out of network patients.

Emergencies

Obviously, there is never a "right time" for a dental emergency.  Our staff strives to accommodate your dental needs.  If an emergency does arise, we would appreciate a call as early in the day as possible, to allow us to schedule your appointment most readily.  You can call the office at (845) 942-1600, 24 hours a day to schedule your emergency appointment.

Telephone Calls

You are encouraged to call with any questions you may have.  The staff of Stony Point Dental is willing and able to answer many of your questions.  If you wish to speak to the doctor, and he is attending to another patient at the time, he will gladly return your call at his earliest opportunity.  Please understand that he wishes to give his undivided attention to each of his patients.  Of course, if you are calling with an emergent problem, the doctor will attempt to speak with you immediately.
